Esser III Grant
Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER)
The ARP ESSER III grant program is authorized in the American
Rescue Plan Act (ARP),
and was signed into law in March 2021. These one-time federal funds were designated to address the ongoing impact of the pandemic related to
COVID-19. Winfree Academy Charter Schools sought meaningful stakeholder input through an email survey, stakeholder meetings, and opportunity
for public comment at school board meetings in May 2021 and July 2021. Stakeholders included employees, special program staff, principals,
administrators, educators, non-instructional staff, learners, parents, student services support personnel, mental health professionals,
community and school board members. Using stakeholder input, Winfree Academy Charter Schools prioritized the additional funds in the
areas of health & safety, learning loss, educational technology support for multiple models of instructional delivery,
operational continuity of services, and continued employment of existing staff.
Winfree Academy Charter Schools values the feedback of our school community and all stakeholders. Please provide your suggestions/feedback
for program planning here.
