Wyatt: 2019 Grand Prairie Osprey Award Winner

So I'm a freshman year of skipping a lot of school doing a lot more drugs I was just at a bad time when I first came here he was in the courage program and got kicked out of the courage program and had a program called courage which was kind of a drug rehab slash depression type class I'm going to be honest with you I don't really like it and it didn't really helped me but that was because I didn't want to be there I just didn't care but that's the best way to put it I just didn't really care anymore he didn't want to do any schoolwork didn't want to succeed didn't want to learn it all cuz usually as soon as class started he put his head down and just went to sleep once i decided i need to start working it's been like 2 years I've been here and that's what I got clean he completley turned it around and something clicked where he became passionate about his schoolwork and passionate about his future you can get a lot done here when you are actually motivated to work the teachers and staff were positive influences on me. But I think the biggest person is my mom he was excited he was first of all he was super nice started working i was able to finish early really when I already wasted a couple years just the change that happened has been incredible in the last year that it all four years of high school that just shows how fast you can literally do stuff here if you want to do it Wyatt was the first student who ever whoever asked me to see what he got wrong on a test it made me so happy to see if student that was that was so invested in in his learning I mean I wish I would have started doing stuff sooner but I'm also glad how everything turned out I also really respect Wyatt for the hard work that he put into everything he did Wyatt is a young man that can go anywhere do anything
