Cody: 2016 Lewisville Osprey Award Winner

Cody came to us at 16 having had dropped out of school stately ran away from home at sixteen I got into heavy drugs I got addicted to meth really special place for doing that I was really just looking for myself that I'm just off the path we took the time to understand the Story 2 know where he came from what his struggles were about I got clean not sober quit cold turkey a little bit of time to get to know him and allow him to be him I think that was his biggest thing is he just wanted to be himself and he hadn't found a place yet that would allow him to be Cody he's a amazingly talented young man he's so creative he took art wine and art to from me some of them you know I have the one year and they move on but some of them just love art as much as I do and they become special children doesn't adapt to what the is he takes on the culture and he takes it to a different level because regular public school didn't work out for them is what it's like to go through a tough time or have some difficulties so everyone is there to understand have your back and everyone cares little bit more and the teachers they work with you more understand better Cody was 16 years old he was just a little bit taller than I am now he's about 10 inches tall wake up so I've literally seen him grow up you are amazing you are going to do wonderful things with your life you have stay determined do you have endured so much I have seen him start from the bottom of work his way up to the top many times in many ways I don't is that drive don't ever let the air out of your cells you're going to soar I know you will
