So Jonathan upon arriving at Winfrey was a quiet young man very reserves if he did talk to you you couldn't hear him and this was pretty
much the whole first half of the first year that he was with us he was working kind of slowly it was kind of needed really to be prompted
often didn't have a lot of confidence in what he was doing it with because when I undo the test I was here like for these 20 was often
difficult to keep them on task as well he got distracted easily when it came back the following year all the teachers were looking at each
other going what happened because he came in just like this was his home you could tell he felt safe he felt comfortable I begin to see him
change in the way that you would approach his classes his class work I may begin to advocate for so many teachers there like don't be shy to
ask questions like that's what we're here for then the more I asked questions the more I understood it and I have to work I just be getting
80s 90s or 100s the moment where I knew hey you're you're doing more than people think you are you really you're you're getting this year
you're going to you're going to make it mature to this young man it could tell you what he wanted in life and the choices he needed to make
to get there the skills that he picked up the the lessons that he learned the grit that he developed he can carry that on into his adult
life and I think that's going to make him successful to me it was it was kind of like watching a butterfly coming out of its cocoon
spreading his wings and then flying up it was all of the teachers ever hear you if it wasn't for them I want to I'm graduating and right now
you succeeded you did great things we always do you could and I was glad to see it that moment when you knew you could and you really push
through and we're very proud
